Project Introduction		In April 2012, NDRC (National Development and Reform Commission approves the FSR (Feasibility Study Report) of relocation project for Xinjiang Shihezi Airport. The project is designed at 175,000 passenger throughput and 270 tons cargo throughput in 2020. The main construction includes a new 2400m runway, 3000㎡ terminal, a parking apron with 3 aircraft stands for civil aviation purpose, a general parking apron with 40 aircraft stands and related ancillary facilities including air traffic control and fuel supply.

Shihezi General Aviation Airport (Shihezi Airport) is an airport serving the city of Shihezi in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is 11km away from the city center and is now owned by Xinjinag Production and Construction Corps. Shihezi Airport is still a general aviation airport in the near future according to NDRC's related official reply.
