The estimated duration of the second expansion project is 3 years, land construction is 66.64 hectare. By 2020, the airport will handle 25 million passenger throughput, 1.7 million tons cargo throughput and 225,000 air sorties as designed. There will also be a T2 terminal covering 247,600 ㎡ new construction area, a apron occupying 322,000㎡ area, 42 new added parking bays as well as 3 rapid exit taxiways. Airsafe provides 2800 sets of various lights. |

Tianjin Binhai Intl. Airport is an airport located in Dongli District, Tianjin. It is the second largest international airport in North China after the Capital Airport, which is one of main airport hubs in China. The No.2 runway (4E class) started passenger operations at Tianjin Binhai Intl. Airport in July, 2010. It can hold various types of aircrafts takeoffs and landings at full power including large wide-body jets like Boeing 747-400. The airport becomes one of key transport hubs in North China. On 18. May, 2009, the first Airbus A320 that finished its final assembly took off on the second runway at Tianjin Binhai Intl. Airport, and completed its first test flight successfully.
