Project Introduction		The estimated duration of the second expansion project is 3 years, land construction is 66.64 hectare. By 2020, the airport will handle 25 million passenger throughput, 1.7 million tons cargo throughput and 225,000 air sorties as designed. There will also be a T2 terminal covering 247,600 ㎡ new construction area, a apron occupying 322,000㎡ area, 42 new added parking bays as well as 3 rapid exit taxiways. Airsafe provides 2800 sets of various lights.

May, 2009, the first Airbus A320 that finished its final assembly took off on the second runway at Tianjin Binhai Intl. Airport, and completed its first test flight successfully.
