Top ten busiest airports around the world in 2015: Beijing Capital International Airport ranks NO. 2

\

According to Fox News, based on statistics published by ACI, Beijing Capital International Airport is at the second place on the list of the top ten busiest airports worldwide in 2015 with 89 million passenger throughput.

ACI reports, though Beijing Capital International Airport was likely to cover the gap with Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport by 2015, it no longer benefits from a two-digit growth as in the last several years. Therefore, it is still No. 2 on the list. Its passenger throughput increased by 4.4% in 2015.

As a main transit hub and entry port to North America, Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport reached a passenger throughput of 100 million in 2015 and reached the top of the list for 18 years without an exception.
On the other hand, the greatest growth is seen at the Dubai international airport: emerging as the third busiest in 2015 rather than the sixth one in 2014.

The second busiest airport in America is O'Hare International Airport on the list provided by ACI. Its passenger throughput increased by 9.8% and ranked No. four last year compared with No. seven before.

Overall, air flight travel has been in constant growth and its international passenger throughput has increased by over 6%. In comparison, the increase of cargo throughput was only 2.4%.
