The early morning of June 20th, a new third runway at the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, a Boeing 747-8 airliner with two smooth landing, tested third runway approach lighting system (including PAPI, flash system), runway lighting, taxiway lamps and tag set condition.

At 04:45 in the morning, the test aircraft slipped out from the 228 stop. Then it took off in the second runway of Chongqing airport and circled around the air in the air. Then it descended from the third runway from south to north, and then took off from the third runway from north to south. After two landing and landing, the flight test task was successfully completed, indicating that the new third runway and corresponding supporting facilities were basically equipped with airworthiness conditions.

The new third runway at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is designed to be 3800 meters long and 75 meters wide. It can take off and drop the world's largest airliner A380, the world's largest airliner.

The third runways at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport are all provided by Shanghai airfield Airport Equipment Co., Ltd. The approach and runway system, composed of 340 sets of near 54 sets of lights, side lights, 80 sets, 180 sets of lights at the end of the runway entrance ground lights, 253 sets, 126 sets of runway runway centerline lights side lights, 2 PAPI, 2 sets of flash sequence system and 2 sets of wind vane, perfect outline of long runway 3800 meters, 75 meters wide.

All the LED lamps are used in the taxiway, the liaison road and the station area. Among them, the embedded LED 6mm has 7268 sets of low protuberant taxiway lamps and 1740 sets of vertical LED taxiways lamps. Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is one of the most LED fixtures used in the single runway in China at present.
