Altay Airport is located in the cold region of northern Xinjiang and is in ice and snow for nearly half a year. Because of the heavy snow thickness, it often covers the lights of the marking and vertical runway lights. And the past use of the runway lights are vertical lamps, mechanical snow cleaning operations can not be carried out, can only rely on artificial. Artificial snow removal efficiency is low and time consuming, which often causes the airport to operate safely.
 

In order to solve the problem that has plagued the airport for a long time, it can improve the efficiency of the snow clearing in the winter runway and enhance the operational support capability of the airport. At the request of the Xinjiang civil aviation bureau, we have undertaken the task of developing low rise combined LED embedded runway lights. It took only a short period of half a year to complete the development of the LED embeded omnidirectional runway lamp, and obtained the production license by testing.
 

The newly designed combined LED embedded runway side lamp RELC-12-LED can not only be used to show the boundary of the runway approaching the runway for pilots, but also provide guidance for the spiral, which helps to identify the runway and the approaching area of the flying aircraft drivers and improve the flight safety. Besides, the design of embedded low protrusion can greatly reduce the damage to the lamps and lanterns caused by airport runway operations such as shoveling and snow, improve the efficiency of airport operation and reduce the operation cost of airports.
 

In fact, the problems encountered in Xinjiang airport, this is a world problem, the world has repeatedly occurred due to heavy snow caused by the airport closure.
