Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is located at the junction of Shuangliu District and Wuhou
District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, China, about 16 kilometers northeast from the center of
Chengdu. It is a 4F-level international aviation hub and one of the eight regional hub airports in

Shuangliu International Airport is Chengdu Shuangguisi Airport, which was built in the 27th year of
the Republic of China (1938). On December 12, 1956, Chengdu Shuangguisi Airport was renamed
Chengdu Shuangliu Airport. On November 30, 1995, Chengdu Shuangliu Airport was approved to
be renamed Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. On August 9, 2012, Terminal 2 of Chengdu
Shuangliu International Airport was officially put into operation.
