Runway threshold lights mark the position of the runway threshold; set along the threshold line, they show a clear green light signal in the direction of approach. They help pilots identify exactly where the runway available for landing begins, and together with the approach lights, the runway edge lights and others they make up the complete visual marking of the runway threshold.
