Beijing Daxing International Airport

Beijing Daxing sits on the boundary between Daxing District in Beijing and Langfang in Hebei, 46 km from Tiananmen, and opened on 25 September 2019. The current phase comprises four runways in a three-north-one-east layout — the first omnidirectional runway configuration in China — and 268 aircraft stands; the long-term plan is for six civil runways. In 2025 the airport handled 53.62 million passengers and 368,700 tonnes of cargo, with on-time departure performance above 91%, the best among Chinese airports handling over 20 million passengers.

Airsafe's largest LED delivery

Airsafe supplied the airfield lighting for Daxing — over twenty thousand LED fittings. It remains the company's largest single-project LED airfield lighting delivery; Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is second and Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport third.

Three contracts

• July 2017 — runway lights, taxiway lights, sequenced flashing lights and PAPI, 16,341 sets
• October 2017 — aircraft stand identification signs, around 300 sets
• July 2018 — airfield lighting and power distribution works: PAPI, sequenced flashing lights, runway lights, wind cones and retroreflective markers, around 4,000 sets
