History

In 1987, Wuhan Airsafe Airport Equipment Complete Co., Ltd was founded, opening the company's exploration of airfield visual aid equipment. In its early years the company focused on developing, producing and servicing airfield lighting fixtures, working deep in China's civil aviation construction and supplying products and technical services to more than 100 airports nationwide.

Through sustained in-house R&D, the company became one of the earliest in China able to supply a complete range of airfield lighting fixtures including PAPI and sequenced flashing light systems, laying a solid foundation for what followed.

In 2003 the company completed a strategic restructuring, set higher goals and entered a period of rapid growth. As the industry grew and international standards kept rising, the company upgraded its products to international standards, building serialized, standardized fixture families.

In 2004 the company attended its first international trade show, engaging global brands side by side and opening its exploration of globalization. In the same period it took part in major airport projects including Shanghai Hongqiao, Kunming and Chengdu Shuangliu. This stage completed the shift from product manufacturing to specialized, standardized development.

As the business grew, the company moved its registration to Shanghai and took its present name, Airsafe Airport Equipment Co., Ltd. Drawing on Shanghai's international environment, it kept strengthening R&D, production management and brand building, earning recognition as a High & New Technology Enterprise, a Shanghai "Specialised & Innovative" enterprise and a Shanghai "Science & Technology Little Giant" cultivation enterprise.

In response to the green and high-efficiency development trends in the airport sector, the company completed the development of a full range of LED AGL luminaires, including PAPI and the Sequenced Flashing Lights (SFL) system, achieving a comprehensive upgrade of its product technology. In parallel, the company established a quality system in line with international requirements; its products have obtained international certifications including ICAO, FAA, and IEC, and have gradually entered overseas markets such as Singapore, Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Italy, with more than 400 projects delivered worldwide. Through this journey, AIRSAFE grew from a domestic specialized manufacturer into an airport navigation aid equipment brand with international influence.

Entering a new era, the company further improved its integrated development system spanning R&D, manufacturing, and marketing, and continued to strengthen its overall solution capabilities. The company relocated its headquarters to Baoshan, Shanghai, where it built a modern facility integrating R&D, manufacturing, testing, and market services.

In recent years, the company has successively served major international airport projects such as Beijing Daxing, Qingdao Jiaodong, and Chengdu Tianfu, and has completed the development of core products including sine-wave CCRs, AGL monitoring systems, and individual lamp monitoring systems.

With a complete product portfolio and system integration capability, the company has become one of the few specialized manufacturers worldwide able to provide complete airfield ground lighting solutions.

Going forward, AIRSAFE will continue to build on its development philosophy of "Safety, Green, Intelligence, and Refinement," delivering more advanced, efficient, and reliable intelligent AGL solutions to airports worldwide.
