In-pavement Runway End Light (12-inch)

Runway end lights mark the end of the usable runway; set along the runway end line, they show a red light signal toward the runway. They give aircraft taking off, landing or rolling along the runway a definite indication of where the runway stops, helping pilots judge how much usable runway is left. The fixture uses a matched light source and a light distribution designed for the application; its photometric performance is aligned with the requirements of the corresponding airfield lighting system, giving airport operations a steady, clear and easily identified visual signal.
