In-pavement Runway Threshold Light (12-inch)

Runway threshold lights mark the position of the runway threshold; set along the threshold line, they show a clear green light signal in the direction of approach. They help pilots identify exactly where the runway available for landing begins, and together with the approach lights, the runway edge lights and others they make up the complete visual marking of the runway threshold. The fixture uses a matched light source and a light distribution designed for the application; its photometric performance is aligned with the requirements of the corresponding airfield lighting system, giving airport operations a steady, clear and easily identified visual signal.
