An elevated wind cone whose red-and-white sleeve is lit from inside by a 28 W LED spotlight, topped by a 3.5 W L-810 obstacle light, for wind indication at airports and heliports. A slip ring feeds it, so the wiring stays still as the sleeve turns and cannot twist apart; deep-groove bearings let it swing in light air, showing the true direction. The frangible 4.8 m aluminum mast tilts down, so it breaks away from an aircraft and the sleeve is changed on the ground.
