Installed at or near the aerodrome to identify its position from the air at night

Features

  • Beacon luminance and chromaticity comply with ICAO Annex 14
  • The beacon uses a constant LED light source: long life, low energy consumption and maintenance-free operation bring substantial economic benefits
  • Strict LED color binning ensures consistent output color
  • The standard drive motor is robust, long-lived and quiet, giving 20 to 30 flashes per minute
  • The LED driver board is of modular design for easy maintenance
  • The driver circuit integrates surge protection and an over-temperature protection module for added reliability
  • EMI complies with FAA requirements and is tested to FCC Part 15 Class A
  • Compact, well-proportioned construction with a small windward area, withstanding winds of 160 km/h
  • The beacon body has an anti-corrosion surface finish and stainless steel fasteners throughout, suiting it to harsh environments
