Application/Use
The LED sequenced flashing lighting system consists of sequenced flashing lights (SFLS-LED) installed along the centerline of the approach lighting system, and runway threshold identification lights (RTIL-LED) installed either side of the threshold. The sequenced flashing lights fire from the outer end toward the threshold, producing a band of light that appears to travel toward the runway so the pilot can pick up the runway direction on final approach; the threshold identification lights flash in unison to mark the threshold. Both share the same unit control and power supply.
Technical parameters and order codes for each fixture are on the SFLS-LED and RTIL-LED product pages.
Features
- The flash light output and color strictly comply with the standards of FAA-E-2628.
- Low energy LED light source, with a comprehensive lifespan of not less than 50,000 hours and a light decay maintenance rate of not less than 70%.
- Unit control integrated into the light fixture, compact structure, reliable operation.
- Effective lightning protection measures are installed for circuits, power supplies, and communication cables.
- The integrated surge protection device features high surge withstand capability, compliant with FAA EB67. It has successfully undergone 1.2/50μs - 8/20μs combination wave testing per ANSI/IEEE C62.41, withstanding 10kV peak open-circuit voltage and 5kA peak short-circuit current surges.
- Elevated flasher with a protection level of IP67.
- The upper cover of inset flasher is made of forged aluminum alloy, combining excellent corrosion resistance and heat dissipation properties.
- Inset flasher with a protection level of IP68, capable of withstanding an internal pressure of 138KPa or the water pressure generated by the impact of aircraft tires on the window.
- The main control cabinet and each flasher are equipped with independent CPU processors, which have the ability to operate autonomously and achieve system collaboration through efficient bus communication.
- The main control cabinet is equipped with an LCD panel, which displays and records the system's operating status and statistical data in real time.
- Equipped with functions such as recording leak detection, counting leak frequency, and online detection.
- Unique system design ensures that any single lamp failure does not affect the overall operation of the system.
- Support remote control and upload of operational status, while also compatible with local operations.
