Intermediate Holding Position Light (8-inch) (TBC: spec conflict)

Intermediate holding position lights are used at intermediate holding positions on a taxiway, normally as a transverse row of lights marking the limit at which aircraft are to hold. The lights give pilots a conspicuous reference for where to stop or hold, support ground control, and reduce operational conflicts where taxi routes cross. The fixture uses a matched light source and a light distribution designed for the application; its photometric performance is aligned with the requirements of the corresponding airfield lighting system, giving airport operations a steady, clear and easily identified visual signal.
