LED In-pavement Combined Runway Edge Light (12-inch 6mm)

Runway edge lights mark the boundaries on both sides of the runway; set continuously along the runway edges, they give aircraft runway outline guidance during takeoff, landing and the roll along the runway. The lights help pilots identify the width, direction and usable extent of the runway at night and in low visibility, and keep the aircraft operating safely within the runway. The fixture uses an LED light source and a light distribution designed for the application; its photometric performance is aligned with the requirements of the corresponding airfield lighting system, giving airport operations a steady, clear and easily identified visual signal.
